1. Southeast Asian American Poetry Table

If you're interested in Asian American writing and poetry, you're invited to
³The Southeast Asian American Poetry Table².

Date & Time: Tuesday, March 20, 2007, 6 pm - 8 pm
Location: The J & S Bean Factory, 1342 Thomas Avenue, St. Paul, MN

They will discuss the whys, hows and fun of writing Southeast Asian American
poetry in a down-to-earth conversation!  Space is limited to ca.15 to 20
people.

This discussion is being led by local poet Bryan Thao Worra, author of On
The Other Side of the Eye, The Tuk-Tuk Diaries: My Dinner With Clusterbombs,

2. Multicultural Storytelling at Camden Coffee Shop

Multicultural Storytelling program on the theme of Deaf Culture

Date & Time: March 24, 2007, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Location: Camden Coffee Shop, 1500 44th Ave N (Corner of 44th and Humbolt)
Free Admission

"Hearing With the Eyes" Stories by Deaf and hearing tellers

Storytellers: Vickijoan Keck, hearing storyteller, poet & actress, will tell
a story about her attempts to learn sign; Taras Dykstra, deaf playwright,
storyteller and photographer, will do jokes and stories; Raymond Luczack,
deaf playwright and poet, will tell a story or two; Paul Fusco, hearing
photographer and scientist, will sign (NOT sing) a comic song; Mary
Catherine will interpret and possibly tell a story.
