Did you know? One out of four 8th and 9th graders reports being a victim of
dating violence. Nine to 20 percent of high school students say they¹ve
been physically hurt by their boyfriend or girlfriend. The majority of
young people think that emotional and verbal abuse is a "normal" part of
relationships. Sexual dating abuse can result in teen pregnancy. Physical
or sexual abuse among teenage couples is a serious and well-documented
problem. This workshop will provide youth workers tools to increase
positive relationship behaviors and foster healthy relationships among young
people in the middle school and high school.
