1. Audition for Asian Media Access¹ Fringe Festival Production
!!!! Audition for the summer Fringe Festival - the Dragon Musical!!!!! by
Asian Media Access
I. Information:
Date & Time: June 4 (Sunday), 5 8 pm
Walk in, no appointment necessary
Location: at the Como dance studio - Out on a Limb

Roles:
1. Two Main Character (Green Dragon & Sky Blue), 1 male, 1 female, both have
to be able to dance and sing, age 16+
2. Eight males must be able to sing and act comically, age 16+
3. One female as the Grandma, age 25+
4. One female as the Story Teller, age 20+
5. Twenty individuals as Crowd, Group Dancers and Chorus Members, everyone
welcomes!!!
Audition Requirement:
Please dress comfortably and bring
* your summer schedule
* a photo
* prepare a short song
The audition will include movement, read from the script and sing a short
song.

5 Performances from August 6 -14 at Redeye Theater, Mpls.

2. Northside Arts Collective¹s Spring Art Party
It's back - Northside Arts Collective's Spring Art Party 2006!
Date & Time: June 3rd, 10 am to 6 pm
Location: North Commons Park
Northside Art Collective once again presents the Spring Art Party with a day
to celebrate the diversity of arts & culture in North Minneapolis. This
year's event will be held at North Commons Park and will feature art, music,
food, art activities, and more.
This event is funded by the NorthWay Community Trust and hosted by Old
Highland Neighborhood Association.

3. Cultural Diversity Celebration
Cultural Diversity Celebration!
Date & Time: Saturday, Jun. 10, 10 a.m.
Location: Ridgedale Library, 12601 Ridgedale drive, Minnetonka, MN 55305
Join them to celebrate the FREE Between Cultures display. Meet the faces of
the people highlighted in the display and hear their stories. This display
has traveled to more than ten Hennepin County Libraries. Experience the
Circus Manduhai family circus from Mongolia as they perform foot juggling,
hand balancing and acrobatics. Enjoy snacks, stories and circus fun!
The culture display is myths and facts of immigrants living in the United
States. This display has traveled through 16 of the Hennepin County
Libraries for the last three years and it's is now old and outdated. This
event is kind of an official retirement party for it. It was at Brookdale
library in March of last year. The people in the display will be on hand to
talk about their journey and at the same time, the Manduhai family circus
will be performing. This event will be FUN, FUN for both adult and kids.
This is joint collaboration event with Hennepin County/ Office of
Multi-Cultural Services taking the lead, HCL is hosting, and funded by the
Library Foundation of Hennepin County.

4. Hidden Resources for Non-profits
HIDDEN RESOURCES FOR NONPROFITS!
Date & Time: June 15, 2006: 7:30 am - 9:00 am
Location: Western Bank, 663 University Avenue, Saint Paul
Nonprofits are notoriously under-funded and understaffed, and are constantly
scrambling to do more and more. Is there any relief? Yes! This session
will offer ³relief² as they share ³Hidden Resources for Nonprofits² -
places, agencies, websites, and ideas you can leverage to stretch your time
and your dollars to move things ahead for your agency. Also included will
be an introduction to the James J. Hill Resource Library available to
Western Bank customers. Presented by Shelly Franz and Amy Vejar, Project
Leadership Services and Trish Sackrison, Western Bank.

5. B-Girl Be Summit
B-Girl Be: A Celebration of Women In Hip-Hop is a place to make connections,
build confidence, sharpen skills, and to gain access to the tools to create
music, film, poetry, rap, aerosol art, and dance. This year B-girl Be will
host graffiti/aerosol artist FAITH 47 from Capetown, South Africa, alongside
LADY PINK (NYC), MUCK (NYC), ZORI4 (Puerto Rico), TOOFLY (NYC), SILOUETTE
(Pheonix), STEF (Chicago), LADY GLOE (Chicago), and PHEM9 (Kansas City)
amongst others as well as local Twin Cities graff girls.
Dates: June 29 - July 2nd.

Youth Photography “Street Team” will work with photographers from the Walker
Art Center and North Side Stories to capture images and audio of people
coming together across divides of race, experience, and geography.
