2. Classical Music at Capri Theater
Please join Plymouth Christian Youth Center to celebrate the Asian Heritage
Month with Classical Music. The Capri Theater will come alive with the
sounds of classical music in North Minneapolis with a one-hour performance
by clarinetist Igor Begelman and pianist Tatiana Goncharova.
Date &Time: Wednesday, May 10th, 2006, 7 p.m.

3. Yinghua Academy Chinese Focused School Accepting Application for Fall
2006

Opening Fall 2006 in Como Midway Area
Now Accepting Applications for Kindergarten 3rd Grade!
Yinghua Academy, the Twin Cities only school with a focus on Chinese
language and culture, is now accepting applications for students who will be
in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades in the fall of 2006.
In the 2006-2007 school year Yinghua Academy will offer a full immersion
program in Mandarin Chinese to Kindergarten and 1st graders. For 2nd and
3rd-graders Yinghua Academy will offer a strong academic program in English
plus a daily Mandarin Chinese language class. All Yinghua Academy students
will participate in a wide variety of Chinese cultural experiences. Yinghua
Academy will be located in the central metro location of Hamline Midway,
1355 Pierce Butler Route, and is optimistic that it will attract a diverse
group of students from across the Twin Cities.
Yinghua Academy will offer an excellent academic program. The mission of
Yinghua Academy is to provide a challenging and comprehensive learning
environment that will nurture students¹ natural inquisitiveness and will
prepare them to be engaged and productive global citizens. Students will
develop intellectual curiosity and critical-thinking skills as well as a
broad and deep knowledge in language arts, mathematics, world and American
history and culture, science, and fine arts.
