3. Dragon Festival Silent Auction

The dragons in Lake Phalen are awakening and that means the festival's
Silent Auction needs your help! The Dragon Festival Silent Auction will
take place this year on Sunday, July 9, and it asks your support in donating
an item(s) on behalf of your organization or as a gift from you and your
family. All proceeds benefit the Dragon Festival and in the last two years
the silent auction
has raised approximately $6,000.

The 2006 Dragon Festival, July 8-9 at Lake Phalen in St. Paul, now in its
10th year and Minnesota's largest pan-Asian cultural celebration, was
recently cited as one of the top summer events for family fun by the Star
Tribune. With its one-of-a-kind dragon boat races, cultural
performances and demonstrations, community and business exhibitors,
children's activities, and of course the food court, the Dragon Festival
attracts hundreds of people from throughout the metro area and even
Wisconsin. New this year is a traditional Korean-style wedding --the bride
and groom actually met at the Dragon Festival!

Please consider donating gift cards from restaurants, book stores, coffee
shops or retailers; passes to local museums, live theaters, author talks,
lecture series and attractions; Asian-theme gift items,
or vouchers for services (spa, legal services, interior design, etc.),
products for home and garden.

To donate, please contact Judy Hohmann at Jwhohm@aol.com or 612-922-2936.
The deadline is Friday, June 30 and she can arrange pick-up or drop-off.

You will be recognized for your generosity in the silent auction program
brochure, signage, event news releases and web site, and in periodic
broadcast announcements in conjunction with the dragon boat races. The
Dragon Festival thanks for your ongoing support!
